For high school students – or maybe just IB students – these past few weeks have been nothing but work, stress and more work! I’ve been going crazy trying to get everything done on time!
Here’s just a few things I’ve had to do in the past two weeks:
- Read an almost 600 page biography about William Golding (Author of Lord of the Flies)
- Studying like no other for my IB SL Chemistry test which in 10 days
- Finished an Internal Assessment for IB HL Biology
- Taught Middle School students about Water Conservations and Blood Typing
- Read ‘The Plague’
- Wrote a 1,500 word World Literature I paper explaining how the motifs of hope and death are personified in the novels Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto and Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo
- Taught myself Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration because our teacher is attempting a new teaching method... during the two hardest subjects we’ve learned this year...
- Took the ACTs
- Pulled about 4 all-nighters attempting to finish all the homework that has been piled tediously on top of all this mess of a schedule
I know... insanity... I'm so stressed out right now that I'm pretty sure my brain is going to start leaking slowly out of my ears soon...
Well, I'm off to go study for a Chinese test and History test, both of which I have tomorrow one after another...
